From the North-Easternmost State of The Indian subcontinent comes our Assam Oil. Assam borders on Bhutan and Bangladesh, and has long been a famed source of aloeswood.
Our Assam oil is the pinnacle of a classic Indian aloeswood. Its strength and character speak for itself. It’s very “old” smelling oil, with a hardiness that lasts throughout the day after only one application.
The Assam offers a heavy body and strong character with undertones of cacao and rustic spice. There are also prevalent animalistic and barnyard top notes as well. Primal. The middle turns vegetal, with slight notes of hay and fresh soil hovering over an increasing sweet note, which finally gives way to a mossy balsamic base note, which is our favorite part of the ride. Aged 15+ years and we've had this oil stored away for over 10 years which is why it earns the name "Antique Assam."
