Our exclusive Kyoto Soul blend is inspired by Oudimentary's many acquisition trips to Japan. Japan's use of oud wood goes back centuries, and many of Japan's most famed incense uses oud wood as its base. We took that base note and added other scents to the mix—all of which are found in traditional Japanese incense making— such as camphor, sandalwood, and patchouli. The end result is a heady, unique mix that has never been offered anywhere before.

Kyoto Soul Incense Blend

Each season, Oudimentary offers a new Master Mix which is the perfect burnable for home fumigation, and a pleasant backdrop for gathering with your loved ones. This Spring master mix “Kyoto Soul” is our best yet, inspired by our training with masters of the craft in Kyoto, Japan combined with the funk that is Oudimentary through a special blend of our finest oils.

Japan's use of aloeswood goes back centuries, and many of Japan's most famed incense uses aloeswood as its base. We took that base note and added other scents to the mix—all of which are found in traditional Japanese incense making— such as camphor, sandalwood, and patchouli. Application:
We use plant-based, natural ingredients that offer a fresh, balanced aroma. For a lasting impression, reapply as desired throughout the day to experience the evolving depth of the scent.

Layering:
We encourage layering two to three of our fragrances to create a richer, more personalized signature scent. Experiment by combining heavier and lighter blends, applying the stronger one first to create a beautifully layered effect.

Purple Sky Perfume Oil Blend

Sandal Rose Perfume Oil Blend

Our Sandal Rose perfume blend has notes of sandalwood, rose, Cambodi oud oil, & pepper.

Wild Rose Incense Blend

Notes: Rose, oud, frankincense, sandalwood, patchouli

Studies have shown that burning certain botanicals can increase sense of well being, promote focus, and can stimulate negative ions from the atmosphere in the same way as aromatherapy. Inspired by age old traditions from different nations and traditions, this mix was handcrafted with quality ingredients and with you in mind.

Cambodiya is a great place to start for those interested in discovering the richness of Cambodian Oud oils! Notes include coffee, leather, and a slight berry top note.

Select Cambodi Oud Oil

Notes: Berry, cork, molasses, leather

Just the name conjures up images of dense jungles, rare woods, and uncharted lands.

Oudimentary’s Select Cambodi offers our customers a similar scent profile to match our now famous Super Cambodi. It is a classic Cambodi with hints of sharp oud wood, musk, fresh tobacco, and pure bold intensity.

Only for the higher initiates oud wood, our Select Cambodi embodies both strength and a subtleness that is rare to find nowadays in oud oils. Of course, it is a classic oud Cambodi with all the woody strength known for oud oils from this region. But it also has another side—a growing sweetness. Like most good oud oils, it is a dimension that is revealed the longer it is worn. As it dries, you might find notes of berries, cork, and molasses. It carries a syrupy smokiness that is usually only found in burning oud woods.

Super Cambodi Oud Oil

Notes: Sweet oudwood, musk, fresh tobacc, fruit, cork, leather, molasses

Super Cambodi is a classic oud oil with bold undertones of sweet wood, musk, and fresh tobacco. The dry down offers hints of fruit, cork, leather, and molasses and carries a syrupy smokiness akin to that found in burnable raw oud wood. Hydro-distilled.

Malaysian Premier Oud Oil

Notes: Cinnamon, tamarind, berry, cherry tobacco, sweet wood

Hailing from the border between Malaysia and Thailand, on the Northeastern most part of the Malaysian peninsula, our Malaysian Premier is a unique example of a Malaysian oil with sweet notes more common to Cambodian oils. Aged over a decade, wild harvested.

The initial hit is subdued spice with main notes of cinnamon and tamarind. The berry notes begin soon after, and continue, softening into a nice cherry tobacco and sweet wood dry down.

Malaysian Special Oud Wood

Notes: Cinnamon, tamarind, freshly baked bread

Offers a long burning, syrupy smoke with an initial hit of subdued spice and main notes of cinnamon, tamarind, and freshly baked bread. Not a particularly sweet burn, like most Malaysian and Indonesian oud woods, but a beautiful one for sure—great for fumigation of clothing. Produces a long burning, syrupy smoke. Hailing from the Sultanate of Terengganu on the Northeastern most part of the Malaysian peninsula, our Malaysian Special is a classic example of a hard, resinous Malaysian oud wood from the Aquilaria Malaccensis species. Wild harvested.

Super Assam Oud Oil

Notes: Balsamic, barnyard, leather, chocolate

Super Assam is the pinnacle of a classic Indian oud wood with a rich, rustic spice that puts it in a class of it's own. Top note hints of balsamic vinegar and leather hover over barnyard basenotes, giving way to a dark cholcoate dry down. We sourced this new distillation from suppliers who live and distill oud oil in the famed North-Easternmost Indian state of Assam. 

Super Assam Oud Wood

Notes: Cinnamon, chicory, roasted hazelnut, burnt sugar

Oudimentary sources this oud wood from a supplier native to the Assam region. He divides his time between South East Asia and Assam, overseeing his farms, from which this oud wood is harvested. On our last visit with him, he presented this oud wood, saying that there was finally a farm-raised oud wood that offered a complex scent profile similar to other Assam wild oud woods. These are smaller pieces with an impressive amount of resin. Notes include cinnamon, chicory, roasted hazelnut, and burnt sugar amongst others. Not too sweet, as is common with Indian oud woods, but a lovely scent profile which is great for scenting your space.
