Super Assam is the pinnacle of a classic Indian oud wood with a rich, rustic spice that puts it in a class of it's own. Top note hints of balsamic vinegar and leather hover over barnyard basenotes, giving way to a dark cholcoate dry down. We sourced this new distillation from suppliers who live and distill oud oil in the famed North-Easternmost Indian state of Assam. *New distillation.
Received as a sample with my order and while I prefer the greener ouds, this is good; and a little goes a very long way.

As a first time buyer, I was disappointed that the super Assam had such a strong barnyard opening note. Though I was warned clearly about it, it was much stronger than expected.
