Super Assam is the pinnacle of a classic Indian oud wood with a rich, rustic spice that puts it in a class of it's own. Top note hints of balsamic vinegar and leather hover over barnyard basenotes, giving way to a dark cholcoate dry down. We sourced this new distillation from suppliers who live and distill oud oil in the famed North-Easternmost Indian state of Assam. *New distillation.
80 bucks a gram for some VERY potent oil. No; it isnt Sultani or Sioufi; but its real, raw oud; made for connoisseurs on a budget.
The chips are lovely for the price. Even with the light infection, the resin bubbles out on a mica-dampened coal.

Very intense leather and barnyard notes. If you’re not fond of these, this isn’t for you. I love it, and a tiny amount is all you should apply, since projection and longevity are potent!

As a first time buyer, I was disappointed that the super Assam had such a strong barnyard opening note. Though I was warned clearly about it, it was much stronger than expected.
